What is Script Grader?
A pre-production quality check for your scripts. Instead of filming, editing, and posting before discovering issues, Script Grader catches weak hooks, poor pacing, and retention risks while your script is still text. Think of it as a writing coach that reviews your work before you go to camera.
Submit your script
Paste your script into the editor or select a saved script from your library. Choose the target platform (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels) so grading criteria match platform-specific best practices. Click “Grade Script.”
Understanding your grade
You receive an overall letter grade (A–F) plus sub-scores for:
- Hook — Opening strength
- Structure — Logical flow and transitions
- Retention — Predicted viewer drop-off points
- CTA — Closing call-to-action effectiveness
- Length — Optimal for selected platform
Aim for at least a B+ overall before filming. Scripts that score below B- typically underperform by 40–50% compared to higher-graded scripts. The few minutes spent improving are worth hours of filming time saved.
Detailed improvement suggestions
Each sub-score includes specific written feedback. Low-scoring sections highlight the exact lines causing issues with suggested rewrites. “Before/After” comparisons show how small edits can dramatically improve the grade.
Iterate and improve
Edit your script based on feedback, then re-grade to see improvement. The goal is to reach at least a B+ before filming. Click “Send to Script Generator” to have AI rewrite weak sections automatically.
Re-grading after edits costs an additional credit. However, inline edit suggestions (within the same grading session) are free — use them before requesting a full re-grade.
